We’re a talented bunch and we love what we do – producing imaginative work that puts a big fat GRIN on our clients’ faces. We’ll get to know your brand like the back of our hand and come up with fresh and inspiring ideas that get people talking.

What we do

We bring ideas to life through creative marketing campaigns and exciting design solutions that make your message memorable. This can be through marketing, advertising, branding, digital, motion, print…you name it.

While we could bang on about all the different things we do, that’s not important. What IS important is that we produce work that does the business for you. Meet the wonderfully talented team at GRIN




As the original GRIN-Father, Phil is our ideas man, if you will. With 20+ years of agency experience behind him, Phil has the knack of sniffing out those golden opportunities and initiates those important client relationships. As the team grows, we’re gradually diminishing the number of Phil’s Quark files, but we’re still working on his unexplained addiction to The Simpsons’ iPhone game, Tapped Out.


Managing Director

Sarah is the leader of the pack who creates and drives an energised and motivated team culture. With her agency experience and eagle eyes that never miss a trick, she knows how to get the best out of the studio and always has the clients’ goals in mind. With exceptionally high standards in all areas of the business, including with how she likes her tea, Sarah can be found with her head in the latest dystopian fiction.


Senior Designer

Dan is our resident motion graphics guru. He loves to experiment with media and you can often find him geeking out in front of his PC (a crime in our Apple-loving office). Dan’s got over six years experience working with major private sector clients. He combines an eye for detail with an obsession with hyphens – and is the office website agony aunt.




Our resident do-gooder, Gareth joined the GRIN team after a six-month charity stint in East Africa. Before digging boreholes, Gareth was designing for team Cadbury, with side projects including photography zines and a Brummie-loving website. Gareth is also a keen West Brom fan (this doesn’t affect his design ability) with a Simpsons reference for every occasion.



With a fetish for fonts, Designer Jules has a background in both print and digital across public and private sectors. When she’s not working, our Jules loves nothing more than to geek out to the latest TV series, dabble in a spot of decorating or baking, probably something with peanut butter.



Having worked in children’s publishing and as an in-house designer, Kate is multi-skilled in print and digital. Although she possesses a strong penchant for the colour purple, she aims to keep a diverse colour palette within her work. As a music lover and foodie, she tends to find happiness in circular objects such as vinyl records or pizza. Don’t test your stand up routine on Kate, she’ll laugh at anything.


Senior Account Manager

After 2 years of working in the bright lights of London, Emma came on-board as our multi-tasking Account Manager, with experience working across a variety of clients including Cadbury, Müller and Kellogg’s. Outside of the office you can normally find her at gigs or festivals, or anywhere playing very loud music, with a cider in hand.



Straight out of four year’s design education, Scott is armed with the most up-to-date know-how on both current software and design processes. With a habit of finding solutions for nearly everything, he ensures tasks are completed appropriately and efficiently. With a published infographic, poster work for a European educational event and more live work under his belt, Scott already has a taste for what it takes to meet a client’s needs.


Account Director

Chris has over 10 years experience working across the retail , FMCG, education and charity sectors. With a degree in Advertising and Marketing, he has worked in agencies for over 7 years, directing at a strategic level, right through to executing national campaigns. With a penchant for words, he is well-versed in developing messaging as well as always sticking his two penneth into the creative process.


Junior Designer

After 4 years working in Leeds, Ryan’s joined the GRIN team with experience in FMCG, packaging design and a first-class honours degree in Graphic Art & Design too. Taking a multidisciplinary approach, he likes to have his finger in every pie and is forever trying to learn something new. With a love of all things Apple, you’ll never catch Ryan without his MacBook Pro and a cup of tea. When not in the studio, you’ll find him working his way through every BBQ restaurant in the midlands.


Senior Account Manager

Paul has come onboard with over 20 years experience of working within the Advertising and Marketing agency industry. After graduating as a Graphic Designer from University, he designed for several agencies in the UK before diversifying into a client facing management role. As an Account Manager since 2005, he led sales and marketing campaigns for well known brands in all kinds of sectors, including automotive, pubs and restaurants, retail, fashion, FMCG and new homes. When he’s not working, or chasing around after his two children, you’ll find him riding his road bike or out in the park running.
