Art in the Heart 2013 launch

The GRIN team had an outing to the Art in the Heart launch last week which saw our brand concept for this region-wide cultural campaign come into its own, with the launch of a season trailer, Art in the Heart cupcakes and promotional merchandise!

Art in the Heart is a celebration of the diverse and exciting exhibitions taking place across the West Midlands during 2013. It highlights the strengths of the region’s world class art collections and its innovative contemporary programmes, many underpinned by national and international partnerships to bring art of the highest quality to the Heart of England.

The launch event was opened by Sandy Nairne, Director of the National Portrait Gallery and Simon Cane, Interim Director at Birmingham Museums Trust, and also served as the launch of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery’s George Catlin exhibition, a major show of painter, ethnographer and showman Catlin’s work (1796 – 1872) documenting Native American peoples’ way of life. A busy and successful event, GRIN were proud to be there to enjoy the culmination of our work with Birmingham Museum’s Trust on creating a unique and fun brand for this annual campaign.
