Food glorious food

With numerous new restaurants opening in and around Birmingham, it’s interesting to see the different approaches to menu designs and layout. More and more restaurants, particularly those that are independently owned, are exploring different ways to showcase their offerings without confusing or overwhelming their customers.

Restaurant menus are now not only thought of as a practical necessity, they are working harder to engage customers by providing more of an insight into personality, culture and sometimes even history.  It’s simply not just about food anymore, people are curious and the right menu design can really make a difference.

I came across some great designs that work that little bit harder to engage customers whilst also getting the right balance of typography, illustration and copy.
