Picked up locally after a visit to his end of year show ‘THIRTEEN’ we’re proud to welcome our newest member to the studio. With a distinct exhibition piece it was a diverse portfolio of print, digital and physical design along with a big GRIN (see what we did there?) and a sense of humour that made us happy to offer him a place. Find out how the rookie responded to our introduction below:
1. WHERE WERE YOU BORN?
2. WHERE IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME?
Australia, don’t think I can get any further than that! I was ten years old and it was my first flight. I remember thinking that when the lights went out on the plane that you had to be asleep so in between watching Scooby Doo seven times I’d pop my sleeping mask down to fool the air hostesses!
3. FAVOURITE FOOD?
Chicken, wrapped in bacon, stuffed with cheese and drizzled with BBQ sauce. It’s my personal tradition however that when I go on holiday I’ll get my ration of adventure by trying anything from snails to octopus, picking a different thing each meal.
4. SUMMER OR WINTER?
Summer… no, winter. Either or neither. I’m a walking white balance meter! I prided myself as a human thermometer. Red in the summer, blue in the winter. I love them both but my body disagrees with all four seasons.
5. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING?
When I get a spare moment I’ll dive into a survival booklet or outdoor magazine but it’s Andy McNab’s Nick Stone series that gets me in hibernation.
6. WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SOUND?
Rain… Inside a tent. Campings sweet symphony (provided you’re inside the tent before it starts!)
7. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 FILMS?
If it has action and guns then it’s up there but if I had to I’d say: Lone Survivor, Pirates of the Caribbean and Lego movie.
8. DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL TALENTS?
Am I boring if I say no? I guess I could count the time… nope, nothing. Oh wait! I can get up with one leg from sitting on the floor.
9. IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERT ISLAND WHAT 3 THINGS WOULD YOU TAKE?
If only! I’d take: my brother, my girlfriend and the most important of them all – duct tape, you can fix anything with that sticky backed quacker. Don’t feel unwanted mum and dad, just don’t think it’s your cup of tea.
10. COMPLETE THE SENTENCE: I’M HAPPIEST WHEN…
I’m making people laugh or learning something new.
