Arts Connect

A new brand to help Arts Connect link children and young people to great arts and culture

Arts Connect, the Bridge organisation for the West Midlands with an aim to ensure all children and young people in the region can access and enjoy a rich and meaningful arts and cultural life, were looking to develop a refreshed identity for the brand and a new website for the organisation as it moved into a new three-year programme.

We began the process by leading a brand workshop with the Arts Connect team to determine how they felt the brand needed to develop, discussed what Arts Connect meant to them and their stakeholders, and their thoughts on how they imagined the new identity. This helped to define a set of core brand values and informed the development of the brand identity.

A dynamic and fresh brand look and feel was then created which was purposeful and contemporary, but also friendly and approachable. A circular logo and rounded typeface paired with a bright colour palette was used across a wide range of printed collateral and merchandise. A photoshoot was commissioned to capture dynamic photography which gave an insight into the varied projects the organisation is involved with.

Alongside developing a bright and contemporary range of stationery, collateral and merchandise, we designed and built a dynamic website for the organisation which offers a ‘shop window’ to showcase the key casestudies from Arts Connect’s work. The site effectively signposts a varied range of stakeholders to the relevant information they require, from funding opportunities to events and news from the region. Vibrant colours, clever use of imagery and a clear structure of information makes for an intuitive and engaging user experience.
