Identity development for Sheffield University's new fine dining experience

The name Inox Dine, which was derived from Sheffield city’s steel heritage, was the inspiration for a new restaurant and hospitality venue located at the University of Sheffield’s multi-million pound re-development of the Students’ Union Building.

INOX Website

GRIN developed a logotype with a sharp and clean font, reminiscent of the look of steel. The colour palette was devised to contain a set of contrasting colours, which could be used in isolation or in combination. The two primary colours, which would always be used together, were navy and olive – muted tones but portraying a warm, premium vibe.

Client: Inox Dine

Sector: Food and Drink

GRIN designed and built the website which enabled the restaurant to offer online reservations, view the full menu and inform visitors about events. Brand guidelines were developed for use across corporate stationery, menus, promotional adverts, vouchers and signage. Post the restaurant opening, GRIN have continued to work with the university to produce outdoor posters, flyers and event programmes for INOX Dine.
