The GRIN army expands once again with the arrival of Kate Farrell – a multi-talented designer with a load of experience in print and digital – she’s going to fit right in! We’ve grilled her with our GRIN questionnaire so here’s what she had to say…
1. WHERE WERE YOU BORN?
Coventry, sadly. Though it did also spawn The Specials and the Singer sewing machine if that improves my credibility…
2. WHERE IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME?
NYC baby – not as glamourous as it sounds, amongst a student group slumming it the YMCA and sharing our showers with the cockroaches. Wouldn’t change a thing though.
3. FAVOURITE FOOD?
I’m a big foodie, I love most things. Pizza is always a favourite, Spanish tapas, Sushi, Indian, Thai, Chinese, or a good old fashioned British roast.
4. SUMMER OR WINTER?
Autumn? That wasn’t what you asked was it? I’m so rebellious I know.
5. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING?
I always have a bookmark in several books… Amongst the selection currently on my bedside table is The Fault in our Stars – John Green, Water for Elephants – Sarah Gruen, A Million Little Pieces – James Frey. I’m always finding new and interesting blogs/articles online that I tend to spam everyone on Twitter with too.
6. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SOUND?
Apart from music… the rain outside when I’m tucked up in bed.
7. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 FILMS?
Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Pulp Fiction, Some like it Hot
8. DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL TALENTS?
Apart from Design of course? The ability to turn anything into a terrible ‘Dad joke’.
9. IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERT ISLAND WHAT 3 THINGS WOULD YOU TAKE?
A boat, a map and a compass.
10. COMPLETE THE SENTENCE: I’M HAPPIEST WHEN…
I’m stood in front of one of my favourite bands watching them play live – or at home with a glass of wine and a pizza.
