On Sunday I was lucky enough to get the chance to zip wire over Edgbaston Stadium at 30mph in celebration of NICE’s 30th year anniversary and flaunt my Pantone White legs in what turned out to be a beautiful day.
Here at GRIN we were happy to add to the total so when I was asked if I was up to the task of hopping into a harness for a good cause I jumped at the chance (but not before I was strapped in!).
The sun made a very welcome appearance which just made the whole experience that much more satisfying and meant I could leave any doubt about donning a pair of shorts behind. The stadium was packed with stalls featuring hand-made crafts and jewellery, raffles, games, face painting, but most importantly, welcoming and friendly faces more than willing to get you involved. The stadium provided a perfect viewing area for people wanting to watch the action from the zip-wire which left me that little bit disappointed that I didn’t get chance to get my face painted before hand!
So far NICE have raised over a whopping £1,500 at the event, with money still coming in and we’d all really appreciate any further donations to our Just Giving page in support of NICE so if you’re feeling generous head over to our fundraising page here and donate.
